Under the hood it’s an instance of Pleroma, which is similar to Mastodon.
If you’ve used Twitter or Instagram then the user-interface should be quite familiar to you.
It’s also part of the “Federation,” which mean it’s automatically linked-up with every other server (and host) in the Federation as well.
