So I thought I’d go first.

I am Michael Collins. Aside from running this site (and a couple of others), 3D art is a passion of mine. It has been since I first purchased Poser 2 back in 1997. My somewhat NSFW portfolio is available on my self-hosted WordPress site, here.

I mainly do male art and male pinups and prefer NSFW art. Mainly as a counter to the hordes of NSFW pinup art that it seems every other site on the Internet is full of.

My primary tool today is DAZ Studio with many (many) plugins, add-ons, and scripts. It’s by far the tool that I am the most comfortable with, and have the most experience with. I’ve been using Studio since it’s first Public Beta over 15 years ago.

I’ve got a basic working knowlege of Zbrush and have successfully used Zbrush to make some custom morphs and modified some existing DAZ Studio characters. I really like Zbrush but I find the UI a bit daunting.

I’m still learning Blender. I’ve been learning Blender though for 10 years now. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around it, but I will say that 2.83 is so much nicer and seems easier to use than 2.79.

I want to force myself to learn Blender more. Hoping that the DAZ Studio to Blender Bridge and DiffieMorphic will be the impetus to help me finally jump-in with 2 feet!

I also have Marvelous Designer and really want to learn how to use Marvelous Designer more. I would love to eventually become proficient enough with MD where I can create my own clothes for my characters.

Outside of 3D — which is just my hobby — I’m self-employed and pay for all this by working as an IT and Information Security consultant.

I live right next-door to Atlanta-proper, “inside The Perimeter”, in a small community called Decatur with my husband of 16-years, and our two dogs.

Pre-COVID we used to enjoy entertaining and going out to eat and to the theatre. Now that COVID has torn up our lives and our routines we take turns cooking, and the theatre has been replaced with Netflix and Chill or Hulu and Chill, or Amazon and Chill, etc. …:rofl::rofl:

I’m a staunch atheist, and a Democratic Socialist.

Yikes, I hadn’t thought I’d be the second person to post after the site owner. I guess that’s what they call getting in early.

I’m a hobbyist 3D artist, who has been making science-fiction and fantasy images with low-end tools for many, many years, starting with KPT Bryce 1. I now mostly use DAZ Studio, plus occasional excursions into Vue, Carrara and Mojoworld (anyone remember Mojoworld?). You can find my images at my website Bytescapes.

Awesome! And welcome to the forums!

I just posted this thread yesterday. Site has been up now for about 3 weeks? Can’t believe I didn’t think about doing something like this sooner though.

And I do remember Mojoworld! Man that was a great program.

Feel free to make yourself at home and if there’s anything missing or you think should be changed don’t hesitate to bring it up!

Welcome again!

I’m a hobbyist 3D artist as well. Been using Studio for a long time. I also do some science fiction stuff. Really into mecha, cyborgs, stuff like that.

Used to use Vue a lot too. Also Amapi, Silo, Hexagon, and Wings3D.

Slowly learning Blender too.

The new version is very cool but I’m like you, still learning! Maybe one of these days!

Like many others 3D Art is a hobby for me. I 1st started out using a program called Imagine which came free on a floppy disk (yeh I know i’m getting on a bit) for the Amiga & then when I 1st got a PC I made the move over to DAZ Studio V2.1.

I have a go at making all genre’s of art but I’m more into doing portraits then most other types.

I’ve also played around with Blender in the past, I’m just not a lover of creating shaders. I did start to learn Hexagon but sadly its no longer compatible with my OS (until DAZ decides to finally to release a 64bit version).

I’ve also got into model making, so far I’ve done the Delorean from BTTF3 (1/8th scale) & I’m currently building 1/2 scale T800 Endoskeleton & a 1/8th scale Ecto-1 from the original Ghostbusters movie.

I am an author with several short stories published the traditional way and several novels that are self-published. I had a blog for most of ten years but haven’t posted on it in a couple years. I use my name, Wil Ogden, for my bloggings and much of my art, on DeviantArt, it’s pantros (one of the characters from my novels) but I use phezian for my NSFW stuff. Got started with Poser 2 and used it for the original purpose of being a virtual model for hand-drawings, but I have nerve damage in my hands and can’t draw a straight line or a curved line without it looking like an EKG readout. So my drawing skills have been all downhill since college. I did spend nine years in college and ended up with a business degree after cycling through majors like theater, art, architecture, english and art history. I have Aspergers and don’t try to keep that a secret. But I didn’t know that in college, so I didn’t really figure out how to do college. I’m the guy that got straight A’s without going to class or studying, but so many teachers graded on attendance that it took me a while to get my credits in. I have been married for 26 years. I have 8 kids, 5 of whom are adopted through foster care. I spent four years in the USAF learning databases, which is what I’ve been doing for a living for the twenty years since I got out. Around the days of V4, I started to get more into rendered art. It took me a few years to get results I could be proud of. As arts go, I am a writer first, a 3d artist second and a bladesmith. Oh, did I mention I also make knives. Nothing useful like a hunting knife or folding knife, just medieval style daggers and such.

Hi everyone. My name is Gary but I’m a big ole bear so a lot of people just call me Gare Bear. I got into 3D modeling in 2020 after playing the adult visual novel Straight!?! They had used 3D models that were created using Daz and I was blown away by the look of them. I followed them on Patreon and got on their discord and started learning more and then decided to jump in head first.

I’ve always been someone who loves to create things. From having online journals, to youtube videos, to messing around with graphics. I’ve always been a huge lover of movies and music and pop culture in general so it’s not surprising that this peaked my interest the way it has.

I mainly focus on the male model in the NSFW genre as well and usually they tend to be hairy. But I try to do a little bit of everything. I have a Patreon and a DeviantArt as well. You can find me at My DeviantArt Page . I have so many things that I want to try out and play around with, I started a visual novel with a gay male version of Elvira that I call Malevira which I find hilarious, I am just all over the place lol. Anyway I am in Daz studio and have spent so much money it is unreal, I have found for doing clean up and editing I do love Affinity software (Affinity Photo, Design, and Publisher) as they are a one off price and they work just as well as photoshop and I have used them for years. I broke down and bout Iclone and Character Creator over the holiday with their sale they had going on and found that it was just a waste of money for me, because it’s honestly not what I thought it was going to be. Hindsight 20/20 I guess. I do need to learn Blender as well, and would love to get Marvelous Designer as well just certainly can’t afford it at the moment.

Anyway I’ve rambled enough, I know I’m a little late to the game here, but feel free to hit me up here or anywhere. I love meeting new people.

Welcome aboard! We’re glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to see your art!

I’m mjc3d on Facebook and DeviantArt. And if you’re on Facebook, feel free to join the “3D Masculinity” group! (I’m currently suspended by Facebook for the next 18 days for speaking out against the insurrection at the Capitol though LOL).

And if you’re on Liker I run the DAZ Studio Artists group there as well.

I’m a writer that uses 3d art, (Poser primarily) to illustrate or create works related to the stories I work on. My literary works are horror, fantasy, sci-fi and erotica so my artwork follows suit. I began my 3D journey with DAZ then moved to Poser when Poser 9 was the current iteration. Every weekday morning at 8am CST I stream Flowscape for an hour to start the day!

Welcome aboard! We’re glad you’re here! #Poser definitely needs more representation.

I joined a while ago but forgot to introduce myself! My real name is Lizzie and I’m a digital artist; have been since I got my first copy of Paint Shop Pro when I was 11 years old. I didn’t start making stuff for the web until I got an internet connection in 1999 which is the same year I managed to find a new copy of Poser 4 on eBay (they didn’t have it at Electronics Boutique!) I don’t think I was confident enough to publish my first render on Renderosity until 2003 though. I actually found that render and posted it on my personal blog here if you want to see it. I started creating content and became a vendor at Poser Pros in 2005 until it was bought out by DAZ. I later became a vendor at RuntimeDNA… until it too was bought out by DAZ. Now I’m a vendor at Renderosity… for however much longer that lasts.

Besides that, I run my own website at Dream 9 Studios for my art and sell prints of my artworks whenever I can. I’m hoping to expand the website with video tutorials and other stuff soon. I also am a semi-popular creator of mods and content for the game The Sims 4 under the name Simularity. Finally, I have the cutest, sweetest, most adorable chihuahua ever named Aayla. She’s my little buddy and constant companion.

I’ll try to be more active here and help out others with Poser now that I’m back from my hiatus. I love Poser 12 and Superfly. Trouble is, I have severe social anxiety so that gets in my way a LOT. I’m constantly working on it though and being more active in places like this helps.

Okay, I’ve said more than enough and need more coffee. Take care y’all!
